During these exciting days of the Monaco Yacht Show, full of innovations, amazing yachts and networking opportunities, the event also features the remarkable presence of Force Blue, Acquera Yachting loyal client. We had the honor of interviewing Captain Ferdinando Tarquini, a man of unquestionable talent, to discover the experiences he had this summer with us.
His bond with Force Blue, a majestic 70.6 meters gem, has grown over the course of 17 years spent on board. A period almost as tangible as the existence of the yacht itself, which was launched by Royal Denship in 2002. Originally from Tuscany, near Viareggio, Captain Tarquini developed a connection with the yachting world from a very young age thanks to family influences, in particular his fisherman grandfather and his mother who encouraged him to pursue a maritime career. After sailing school and a stint in the merchant navy, he made the transition to luxury yachting, culminating in his role as captain of Force Blue.
Which are your favorite itineraries?
During my career, many different trips brought me to a variety of countries, each with its own charm and allure. These include Spain, Italy, France, Malta, Croatia, Greece, Turkey, the Maldives, the Caribbean and many more but I am particularly in love with the myriad of Greek islands, each of them with its own wild landscapes and unique tourist attractions. The entire Med offers unique blend of activities and landscapes that match with the various preferences of our clients so absolutely one of the most important regions during summertime.
What makes you feel proud of your work?
What really makes me proud of my job, even after so many years, is to be constantly in contact with nature, the sea that is the essence of our business and the different local natural beauties in every country.
Last not least, I’m proud of how my crew and myself do take on the daily challenges in being at disposal of our clients: high level assistance, 24/7.
Which are the most requested services and which ones have been the most appreciated?
The most requested services are themed parties and BBQs on the beach. However, we pride ourselves on our versatility and readiness to cater to any request: from private experiences to getting a sold-out ticket for any venue, and so on…
